This car seat truly puts Graco car seats to absolute shame. We started with a Graco seat and it was a disaster to install and adjust the straps. Nearly impossible. We switched to this one and it was one of the best decisions we made. Our little one LOVES it and is so much more comfortable while riding in the car now. She gets to sit completely upright and look out the window. The quality is top notch which isn’t surprising considering it’s made in USA versus Graco which is cheaply and poorly made in China. This is the only car seat we will ever buy.Bonus: extremely affordable!

I bought this for a back up seat for my grand babies. We have a 22 month old and a newborn. This car seat easily adapts for both kids. My sister and I take turns babysitting one or the other on any given day and we transfer this car seat easily between our cars. The kids parents each have a car seat in their cars ( Graco SlimFit and a Diono Radian® 3QX), but they are heavy and transferring them from their mom and dads cars on a daily basis was a pain. This Safety 1st seat is lightweight and easy to get in and out of the car, but still feels solid and safe when installed. Initially it was a bit of a struggle to install as we had way more play in the seat than the one and a half inches recommended for safety. After reading the instructions more thoroughly found that if we applied weight on the seat using a knee as we were buckling it, the seat became more solid as the air from the car cushions deflated and made the seat much more solid in the car. In fact there is NO wiggling at all. It feels like its cemented into the car. The 22 month old totally loves this car seat! She likes using both cup holders and finds the cushioning quite comfortable. She easily goes to sleep when she needs to and her head is supported quite nicely. Plenty of leg room for her too as she grows. The one month old hasn’t been out in it yet, but the extra padding and adjustments for him are easy schmeezy. The washable/dryable feature is the best. Our girl loves blueberries and raspberries in her snack cup so you can imagine what a mess that can make. Bought it on Prime Day and spent less than half than what the Graco cost. Great purchase.

This is the second car seat we got for our son, one for each car. Easy to use and remove the lining to clean. We like that you can adjust the height and it grows with him .

I’m giving this car seat 4 stars simply because the installation was a pain. It’s simple to install IF you know how to get it tight. I searched the internet before finally finding a video on a Reddit thread of how to do it. So, install the car seat as the manual instructs but to get it nice and tight with either the seatbelt or the lower latch method you need to remove the corner of the car seat cover (take out the cupholder) and then pull across the car seat on either the latch belt or the seat belt. So for instance I installed this on my passenger side, so I took the cup holder out that was closest to my driver side door and then I practically sat in the car seat and then pulled the seatbelt strap (from under the car seat cover) up and then back toward the passenger side door. I did this a few times and then tested to make sure it was right before putting the cover back on and the cup holder back in. I tried it with the lower latch belt and it was the same result. Hope this helps someone!!

[...]Excelente compra, mi bebé tiene la carriola Doona que también puede usarse como Car Seat, pero opté por adquirir esta sillita y fue la mejor decisión. Es muy cómoda porque el colchoncito no lo cansa por la postura, y el respaldo de la cabeza permite que si se duerme no se le tuerza el cuello. Definitivamente lo recomiendo para bebés pequeños y sé que lo usará por mucho tiempo más.

[...]De acuerdo a la descripción de la empresa se puede ocupar durante mucho tiempo conforme vaya creciendo tu bebé, y eso me agrada porque vale invertirle ese dinero a la seguridad de tu bebé.Lo malo es que si es un poco grande, es decir que si te va a restar bastante espacio en los asientos de atrás. En mi caso mi auto es un León de Seat, es amplio comparado con algunos otros carros y aún así siento que si está voluminoso. Es muy sencillo de instalar en el carro y también de ajustar al bebé.En cuanto a mi bebé, por su comportamiento creo que ha viajado cómodo, lo adquirí cuando tenía 6 meses y hasta el momento todo bien.
